(Dubai – April 18, 2018) Global superstar Badshah joins forces with one of the region’s biggest and most respected popstars Abd El Fattah Grini on brand new single, “You’re Gold”.

Badshah’s undeniable prowess as a rapper combined with Grini’s catchy vocals make “You’re Gold” destined to be one of the biggest tracks of the summer. The song was co-written by Badshah and impeccable singer/songwriter and producer Jalal El Hamdaoui famous for his strings of hits including “Lm3allem” and “Ghaltana”. The music video was shot in Dubai.

“You’re Gold” is part of Axe Middle East’s campaign focused on realness and confidence. Both Badshah and Grini brought their magic and charm to the song and the music video creating a never heard before #YoureGold anthem to remind men that as long as you own your confidence and remain unfazed, #YoureGold!

“I’m no stranger to pressure,” says Badshah. “In our industry there is no downtime- you are constantly giving your best and nothing less is acceptable. For me Gold is a state of mind. It’s when I’m in the studio or when I’m performing a sold out concert!  It’s also when I meeting fans on the street or meeting friends after a busy day. When I feel fresh and walk with confidence – THAT is the feeling I want to bring to this collaboration with AXE. The feeling of owning your style!”

Speaking on the collaboration, Grini, commented: It’s my first time to work with Sony Music and Badshah. Working on a Hindi/Arabic song from scratch was a new and rewarding experience for me. I am very delighted to be part of Axe You’re Gold project”.

A Look At The5 Clean & Clear #SeeTheRealMe Journey

Last week, The5 were in Dubai as part of the Clean & Clear #SeeTheRealMe initiative which circles around empowering young girls across the region and giving them a chance to voice out their talents.

The5 spent a week with the winners of Clean & Clear’s lyric writing competition, #Write4The5 that was launched earlier this year. Winners,  14-year-old Zaynab and 12-year-old Thalia were given the chance to  collaborate with The5 to write their new single.

Unknown-1“We just want all our fans and everyone in the Middle East to not be scared or be afraid. If you have talent, if you have anything to show to the people, you have to do it. Don’t be afraid, don’t be shy, just do it,” said band member, Ahmed.

#SeeTheRealMe Teen skincare brand Clean&Clear® teams up with boy band sensations The5 to create summer’s new hit single

Campaign taps into the creative potential of young Arab girls and help nurture their talent

Collaboration with The5 gives courageous girls across the region the opportunity to write their own anthem

Teen skincare brand Clean & Clear® is boosting their ongoing engagement with Arab teen girls with an exciting new update to their #SeeTheRealMe movement: a collaboration with the region’s #1 boy band The5, to fan-source lyrics via social media for the band’s new single, ‘SeeTheRealMe.’ One lucky contributor will even be added to the girl-team Clean & Clear® is sending to Writing Camp with the band, to help produce the single itself.

The new initiative kicks off today, on May 1 and mobilizes fans across the region to show off their skills throughout the month on any or all of social platforms Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, or Tumblr. Fans can send their submissions in any format (video, pictures, written entries) and use the hashtags #SeeTheRealMe and #Write4The5.

The Clean & Clear® girl-team will subsequently be assembled—a squad of four girls who

will bring their talent and passion to the Writing Camp, to be held in Dubai this July.

Clean & Clear® began their local #SeeTheRealMe campaign last year to address social challenges particularly plaguing female youth today, elevating real, empowering stories directly from talented, courageous local girls.

“Our 2016 iteration of #SeeTheRealMe is an evolution of what we brought to girls across the region last year: content that inspires them to share who they really are with their family, their friends, and the world, at a time and place in their lives where that can be very scary,” said Brenna Deck, Assistant Brand Manager, Clean & Clear® MENAP.

“But this time, with the star power of our new partners The5, the stakes are higher and the rewards much greater for girls who rise to our challenge and demonstrate this courage. We’re not just celebrating these girls by giving them an anthem—we’re giving them the opportunity to write their own anthem.”

The5, the Pan-Arab boy band sensation including members Ahmed Hassan (Egypt), Adel Echbiy (Morocco), Kazem Chamas (Lebanon), and Said Karmouz and Mohamed Bouhezza a.k.a BMD (Algeria), are thrilled to partner with Clean & Clear® to deliver such a rewarding and enriching experience for their millions of fans. With two #1 hit singles already released, over 4 million followers online, a debut album on the way, and the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards ‘Best Arab Act’ in the bag, 2016 is set to be the year of The5.

Now, The5 will collaborate directly with their and Clean & Clear®’s mutual fan base. The campaign will culminate with the summertime release of the single #SeeTheRealMe and the official music video, both to be created during July’s Writing Camp.
